DUTIES ON THE ROTA

As a reminder (and for info for new members) the duties are as follows:-

 Meet and Greet : means

  • to arrive by 7.30 and
  • to sit at the door and
  • tick off in the attendance book (which is kept in the WMWI cupboard) those who has arrived and give them a name label (also in the cupboard).
  • if someone is new add their name to the attendance book and try to get their email address and even an emergency number if possible.Keep the attendance book with you during the meeting and bring it out of the hall if there is an emergency.
  • at the end of the meeting return the book and labels to the WMWI cupboard.

Refreshments : means

  • to arrive by 7.30.
  • to provide cake or biscuits for about 25 people and
  • to provide 2 pints of milk.
  • to switch on the dishwasher.
  • fill the kettles and make a pot of coffee and a pot of tea.(Tea bags and coffee are in the WMWI cupboard in the hall where we meet).
  • to get a plate from the kitchen, put the cake out (with a knife if necessary) on the refreshments table. And also sugar from the WMWI cupboard.
  • pour a jug full of milk for the refreshments table and put the tea and coffee pots on the table.
  • make a fresh pot of tea and pot of coffee after the speaker has finished.

 Set up : means 

  • to arrive by 7.30 .
  • to help set up the tables and chairs (tables opposite the kitchen, chairs in the hall).
  • take plastic tablecloths from the WMWI cupboard.
  • set up two tables for the refreshments.
  • put on that table wine from the WMWI cupboard,
  • and from the kitchen :- wine glasses, cups and saucers, plates.
  • set up a small table near the entrance door for the Meet and Greeter

 Washing up : means

  • please note: if you are washing up and want to use the dishwasher it should be turned on at the beginning of the evening. It needs to warm up. The instructions are in the kitchen near the dishwasher.
  • at the end collect up the things to be washed and
  • take them to the kitchen.
  • either hand wash them or use the dish-washer.
  • put them away in the cupboards in the kitchen.

 

Everyone: means

  • try to arrive early and
  • generally help where it is needed.
  • at the end of the meeting stack your chair away and
  • help clear the tables and things off the refreshment table.
